Alright, so you need to install an SSL certificate in ISPmanager. Don’t worry – it sounds more complicated than it actually is. I’ve done this a bunch of times, and once you know the steps, it’s pretty quick.
First, get your SSL certificate ready. You should have three files from your certificate provider – the certificate itself, a private key, and sometimes an intermediate certificate. Keep these handy because you’ll need them in a minute.
Log into ISPmanager. Head over to your control panel and find the “WWW” section. Look for “SSL certificates” – it’s usually right there in the menu. Click it.
Upload your certificate. Hit the “Create” button and you’ll see a form pop up. Now here’s where those files come in. Copy and paste your certificate content into the first box. Then do the same with your private key in the second box. If you’ve got an intermediate certificate, paste that one too. ISPmanager makes this pretty straightforward – just follow the fields.
Name it something you’ll remember. Give your certificate a name so you can find it later. I usually just use the domain name, keeps things simple.
Assign it to your domain. Once uploaded, go back to the “WWW domains” section. Find your website, click edit, and scroll down to the SSL certificate dropdown. Select the one you just uploaded and save it.
Check if it’s working. Open your site with “https://” at the beginning. See that little padlock icon? You’re golden. If something looks off, double-check that you pasted everything correctly – no extra spaces or missing characters.
That’s really all there is to it. Your site’s now secured and visitors can browse safely.
